A definite must see

This weekend, the husband and I made the six block jaunt down to the Broadway Center Theatre to view the incredible documentary, Man on Wire, which is about one Frenchman's dream of tight rope walking between the towers of the World Trade Center. (Yeah, just typing that sentence made me want to wet my pants in fear. Um, those towers were a quarter of a MILE high. Eesh.)

After seeing that it had received stellar reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, we decided to check it out.

We were not disappointed.

Though the premise and outcome are obvious, the incredible mixture of contemporary interviews (which serve as the narration of the film) and authentic footage of the events humanizes and beautifies the story. The reenactment portions contained in the film were minimal and seamlessly done. It's been awhile since I've felt such an upbeat and lighthearted feeling in a movie.

We both highly recommend this one. And we'll go again with anyone who wants to go.

Wow Mike and I have really wanted to see it. Mike would tell me all about it when we were in London. Now we will have to for sure!

This sounds so interesting! I think the Rileys will be including this on the list of must-dos. If your post elicits bunches of invites - certainly don't feel obligated on this one... but if we go, we'd love to have you come along. I'll be by to bother you for details...
