Photo of "The Colonel" back in the day
Today is Veterans Day.
Perhaps some of you remember the post I wrote last year, on this very day, to honor my favorite Veteran-- my grandfather, "The Colonel." To be honest, I never tire of expressing my gratitude to him, and others like him, who have boldly protected and served this country with honor. Today, especially, I want to pause and recognize one of the bravest and most honorable men I have ever been blessed to know. And I want to express my love and gratitude for him, and tell him that I am so proud to be his granddaughter.
P.S. Did I mention that he's kind of famous? He is featured on the Supersonic Saints DVD. You can see a preview of it below:
Yup, "The Colonel" is legit. And if you watch the actual DVD, you can see him and my darling grandmother, "Peesh," talk about their experiences. They are seriously the cutest couple in the entire universe.
