It's coming together

The husb and I have slowly been transitioning our 2nd bedroom/study to become a more baby-friendly environment. At first, I foolishly thought that we could cram everything into the little space - crib, desk, printer, computer, changing table, etc. - but now, it's officially becoming a (mostly) baby space. (Maybe I can just suspend a desk from the ceiling or something.)

Below are a couple of very pedestrian photos of some of the items we've acquired...

 Dresser/changing table

Rug

The most fabulous crib in the universe... seriously

Now if someone can point me toward a rocker/glider that doesn't look like it came from 1987, or some  bedding that isn't obnoxious to compliment my rug, I'd be pretty much set.

i love all the rockers at land of nod. glad you got the crib! it's definitely my favorite piece we bought.

(fyi, as soon as your baby gets chompers, cover the rails! i didn't and noticed too late he'd dug his teeth in...a lot....)

I was really picky about our rocker too because I didn't like the wood/cloth ones that are everywhere and I wanted something that looked like an actual piece of furniture. We found our SUPER comfy rocker at BabiesRus, but you could look at Babinskis too, they have cute furniture. It's worth it to spend a little extra on a good rocker cause you will spend many a long night in that thing! Her room is coming together so cute so far!

Still looking for a glider myself! I think that is the hardest purchase I've decided. Good luck!

make your own bedding! It's super easy, and that way you can be picky about what it looks like. There are so many darling fabrics out there. Also, I have a friend who got this comfy, big glider, it was almost like a lazy boy (that didn't recline). It is the most comfortable thing I have ever sat in, I wanted to sleep in it. I'd google that cause if I were to re-buy a glider, I'd totally get that one. Plus, it was super cute.

I love the furniture! How exciting. We got our bedding from Land of Nod. They seem to have some pretty cute stuff. Good luck searching!

Love the crib!!! I'd love to help you make bedding. I made a bumper for my sister and hand quilted details on it. I'll post a picture. How are you feeling these days?
