Trying to be a better person is not always easy.

This week, my main focus has been to minimize my propensity to stress out... to balance my chi if you will. And I surely will.

But I've come to realize that balancing my chi involves more than just managing my stress. It involves developing patience in all areas of my life. It means trying to engender sympathy and/or empathy for those whom I do not understand nor feel are very kind to others. It means that I have to stop becoming angered by the inexplicable and ridiculous actions of others. It will be difficult, to be sure, but I really do think I will feel better when I learn how to let things like that go.

Oh yeah, and three days at the Utah County Fair really tested this goal. I can't say I totally passed, but I think I am making some improvements.

(Knock on wood.)
