It turns out that my termination came at a lovely time...

I am blessed because I was only out of a job for two weeks. And in those two weeks, I actually got to spend some quality time with my family. I got to celebrate my little brother's birthday, go out to lunch with my mom and my sister (who was in town for the weekend) and spend more time with my husband. Though it was a slightly nerve wracking time, it was a lovely little respite from the job that consumed so much of my time.

Today was the first day that I truly felt empowered at my new job. Where I felt like I could handle it all and do a good job of it too. I realized just how sad it was that I was never given a chance like that at my previous place of employment, and yet how glad I am to be somewhere else. I am getting to know and quite like my co-workers and the clients I work for. I am loving the fact that I am not chained to my desk.

And today it was ok I had to work late because Greg was working late too. So it actually worked out quite nicely.

Now all we have to do is find a place to live.

Glad to hear it. And yes on the moving bit. Seriously.

I thought of you this morning when I walked out of my apartment to find a bum sleeping on the landing of the stairs that lead to the roof. Yeah. That'll make one feel safe in her own home.

I'm sorry bums made me think of you :). You know what I mean...

It makes such a difference when you are appreciated at work.

Good luck on finding a new place, I know how ridiculously annoying that can be. It's almost a full time job around here, I go nuts every time we have to move again.
