and loving every minute of it.

hailing from new zealand, ladyhawke, aka pip brown, has a great 80s, electropop vibe that i find quite delightful. plus, she plays her own instruments and writes her own music. she's kind of a hybrid of karen o and carah faye charnow but with a "prettier" voice... i.e. there's no screaming in this lady's repertoire.

and yes, she named herself after this movie.
