My Italianess wishes you all...

a happy Ferragosto. This is an Italian holiday that rocks because everything is supposed to be closed and everybody is supposed to be vacationing. Too bad it hasn't caught on here. Maybe that can be a goal of mine, that one day, this glorious nation will adapt the holiday of my forefathers' homeland (meaning at least another day off work, or perhaps the whole month of August off work, which I personally think is a fabulous idea). Until then, enjoy Little Italy's version of this blessed day tomorrow.

Oh, that I could attend. Perhaps one day.
