A parade and a bit of fireworks

This past weekend, we enjoyed celebrating the great Utah holiday that is Pioneer Day. The night before the actual day itself, we attended the B-town parade with my mom's side of the family. Whilst taking photos of the floats and parade ambiance, I was accosted by a certain clown who insisted that I take a photo with him. And though I find clowns incredibly creepy, I took one for Pioneer Day and hammed it up for the camera.

Another highlight of the parade happened a bit abruptly, when my cousin suddenly shot up out of her seat and realized that her darling little niece had tinkled all over her lap. It looked like she had had the accident herself.

And she was wearing white shorts.

But she took it like a champ, and we all had a good laugh.

After the parade, we enjoyed some fireworks with the fam and our family friends, the Browns. In all, it was quite a delightful Pioneer Day Eve.

(So creeped out I'm trying not to cry... jk)

Good memories. What a very funny clown. He must have thought you were quite cute!

You are so much braver than I would have been with the clown; but it does make for a cute picture. You know, we lived in B town for 2 consecutive 24th of Julys and never once went to the parade or fireworks...these pictures make me regret that action. But we did attend the annual sidewalk chalk galla--that was fun. Do they still do that? (I act like I've been gone sooo long. ha.)
