I'm convinced there are times that I am overly nostalgic

Perhaps this is why my daily journal writing of 6+ years waned in my later college years and has never really recovered. (Though I am pretty obsessed with the blog... hmm.) I do wish that I had documented with the gusto of my youth my courtship and subsequent marriage to my husband, though I think I have captured enough of these moments in my brain, on film and on this blog that I will not feel deprived in my elder years.

But now I'm just rambling and have gotten completely off topic.

This week, we're packing up our stuff and literally moving three blocks. And I'm kind of sad about it. Not because I am thoroughly in love with the place we're at, but because I get attached to things. I think about all of the fun memories we have shared in our cute little apartment and I get a bit sad when I think we're leaving it behind. Just a little bit.

I'm the same way with clothes. I have clothes from high school, and even a piece or two from junior high that I don't have the heart to part with. It's kind of sad, really, because I really don't think I need that lime green and red glittered No Doubt concert tee anymore. I've had that since 1996.

Maybe that's a bit pathetic, but it's just the way I am I guess. Until tomorrow...

That's funny because I am completely opposite. I throw things away because I get tired of clutter and then, sometimes years later, wonder where it is or why I got rid of it.

I am the exact same way with clothes! I probably wear a good 60% of what is in my closet!
