So Kenna and Chel "tagged" me, which means I now have to discuss six things about myself that you may or may not know. But I will not tag other people, mainly because I am horrendously lazy (not one of my six things, btw) and because most of my other blog peeps have prob done this already, so it'd be a bit overkill.
1. I have an aversion to germs. I mean, I really REALLY hate them. I'm the type that goes into a public restroom and doesn't even get near the toilet seat (but still may put a cover or two on for good measure), grabs a paper towel before I start washing my hands so I can turn off the faucet with said paper towel and then uses another paper towel on the handle of the door to get out. But, I think I should note that I did fine in Africa. (With a hole for a toilet in the middle of nowhere.) So I guess I should qualify my statement and say that I hate germs in my own personal bubble. I don't like germs in places where there should be no germs. Make sense? Didn't think so.
2. I am obsessed with milk. If all other beverages were to cease to exist, I'd be fine with that. I drink it like it's water. I drink it with everything. If I have ice cream, I eat it with a nice cold glass of milk. Delicious. It has to be skim milk though... the rest is just too thick, creamy and gross.
3. I play the piano... really well, in fact. Well, I used to play really well. Without practicing a lot, even. But I really love to play, even though I haven't in a long time. I don't think I feel worthy of it anymore, because I can't make my fingers do what they used to. Maybe one of these days...
4. I'm a realist who comes across as a cynic who's really closer to being an optimist. And sometimes, for the heck of it, I take an opinion just to get a rise out of people. Self explanatory, don't you think? Maybe not...
5. I hate it when people think I'm stupid. I have a nicely formed brain in my head... I read... therefore I
must be somewhat intelligent. He hee. Hey, I got pretty good grades in school... and even though I inadvertently washed my cell phone in the washing machine on Friday... I'm smart. I promise.
6. I really, REALLY love my husband. Though I know he prob gets sick of me and wants his own space... I could seriously be with him all day, every day, and be just fine. It's nice to wake up to my best friend and my love every day... I highly recommend finding someone like that to spend forever with.
Okay, that part's done, so on to part two of this lovely post. This is going to be where I list a bunch of Greg's and my favorite books/plays/poetry compilations. The reasons for doing this are twofold: one, because we have impeccable taste in literature, and two, because we wanted to share some great reads so you could check them out for yourselves.
Thus, in no particular order save the first: The Book of Mormon, Mere Christianity, As A Man Thinketh, Temple and Cosmos, The Gospel and World Religions, The Miracle of Forgiveness, Jesus the Christ, The Peacegiver, Othello, Frankenstein, The Color of Water, The Autobiography of Malcolm X, Native Son, Leaves of Grass, The Great Gatsby, Ender's Game, A Prayer for Owen Meany, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Iliad, The Odyssey, The Aeneid, Pride and Prejudice, A Tale of Two Cities, The Twilight series, and I think that's a good start. So yeah... enjoy.
