Though she won't remember it, I wanted to ensure that her first Christmas season was one to remember. (Through photographs, of course.) Four years ago, the aforementioned couple spent their first holiday season together as husband and wife.

Last year, the couple found out they were expecting their first child. 

This year, their little baby is turning five months old.

Luckily, the day she was blessed was on one of the last warm days  of the year. (Thank you, October 30!) It was a really great day filled  with family and friends.  we would have our little peanut. 
The past two weeks have been filled with unexpected surprises (namely, the birth of our daughter five weeks early and her subsequent week-long stay at the NICU at Primary Children's Hospital). Thankfully, our little sweet is doing much better and is officially the cutest little girl that we've ever laid eyes on. Last week marked my 25th week of pregnancy. As you can see from the photo above, my belly is burgeoning.

Thus far this whole journey has been interesting. My nesting instinct has kicked in with a fury I never expected. My emotions run the gamut from really excited to really scared. And I find myself wearing flats at least twice a week (oh the horror... kidding, only kidding).

He was gone for two years, and the only contact he had with anyone from home was through weekly emails and a call home to the family on Christmas Day and Mother's Day. I won't lie, I missed him a whole lot. And even though he got home and then headed right down to school, it's great to have him home.

i won't lie... it was mentally and emotionally draining. as it neared its end, i was literally at a breaking point. (and i also became keenly aware that my fiery italian temper is not as dormant as i would like it to be.)

this was the product of multiple issues, which, had they all been isolated, would not have been enough to elicit such an adverse reaction. I wanted to live in the SLC with some of my high school peeps and go to the University of Utah, but inexplicably I ended up elsewhere. I was slated to live on campus with five strangers whom I had never met, and I remember feeling nervous that I would be rooming with a bunch weirdos.
